Veronica Kariuki is a Project Assistant Intern at the Local Development Research Institute assisting in the implementation of the VBA project. Her area of specialization is on Agricultural and Rural Development. She has previously worked as a research enumerator in different reputable research organizations such as Tegemeo Institute of Agricultural Policy and Development, Policy and Market Options, CIAT, ILRI and KARLO among others. She holds an MSc. Degree in Agricultural and Applied Economics from Egerton University/the University of Pretoria and a Bachelor’s Degree in Agricultural Economics from the same University.
Veronica is passionate about conducting policy research in the agricultural sector to address the persistent problems of food insecurity and poverty in Kenya and in Africa.
